GKG Supplement Guide: Elevate Your Mood, Increase Energy

GKG Supplement Review and Guide

GKG is a powerful cell-volumizer, making you look, feel, and become more ripped and muscular. In fact, GKG is the most abundant free form amino acid in muscle tissue! GKG combines glutamine precursors alpha-ketoglutarate (AKG) and taurine. Taurine is the second most abundant free form amino acid in muscle tissue. A great combination!

Q: What is GKG?

A: GKG is a dietary supplement that has been designed especially for athletes who train with weights. It may help muscle cells maintain maximum volume by preserving their most abundant amino acids glutamine and taurine. Numerous clinical studies have demonstrated the importance of these amino acids and their role in muscle growth, protein synthesis, and anti-proteolysis (inhibition of protein catabolism).

Q: How does GKG work?

A: The amino acids in GKG help support cell volumizing and amino acid transport. Scientific studies have indicated that increases in muscle cell volume may help improve the efficiency of protein synthesis and might help limit proteolysis (or muscle breakdown). When muscle tissue concentrations of glutamine and taurine decrease, protein synthesis can be compromised and proteolysis can be increased. This is exactly the opposite of what weight trainers are looking for. Their goal is to maximize protein synthesis for building new muscle and to minimize proteolysis, which is the breakdown of muscle tissue.

Q: How does "cell volumizing" differ from water retention?

GKG Supplement Review and Guide

A: Swelling within muscle cells is completely different from water retention (or edema), which is swelling outside of muscle cells. Cell volumizing may actually make muscle cells bigger and stronger and make them appear fuller and harder as well. Water retention can actually make your muscles look flatter and less defined.

Q: How is GKG used?

A: GKG has been designed as a post-workout supplement to replenish and restore key amino acids following an intense workout. The best way to take GKG is to consume six capsules within 30 minutes following a workout on an empty stomach. On training days, take another six capsules before bedtime with a carbohydrate drink or meal. On days you don't exercise, the recommendation is to take 12 capsules before going to bed.

Q: Is GKG safe?

A: All the nutrients in GKG exist in various whole-food sources. There are no drugs or artificial ingredients in GKG, and there are no known problems associated with its use.

Q: How long does it take to see results from using GKG?

A: As individuals vary, so will results, but some athletes notice increased muscle size (from cell volumizing) and strength within a week after beginning to use GKG. However, it may require giving the product a four-week-trial period to notice its full effects.

Q: What supplement is best to stack with GKG?

A: Any kind of additional cell volumizer may be great to take with GKG, like Creatine. Additionally, HMB might be a good choice to help preserve even more muscle tissue.

Q: Are there any benefits to cycling GKG?

A: No. GKG is not toxic, and there is no known benefit to going on and off the product.
